ITAG Excellence Awards 2023:
Channel Mechanics Shortlisted as Finalists in Three Categories
Channel Mechanics delights today in announcing that we have been shortlisted as finalists in three categories for the highly anticipated ITAG Excellence Awards 2023. These awards aim to recognise the outstanding innovations and technological advancements happening along the AtlanTec Gateway. On the night, we are in the running to win the following three accolades against a variety of finalists: The Digital Project and Innovation Award, the New Talent Award, and the Digital Women Award.
With “excellence” being the underpinning central theme of each award, these nominations are certainly a testament to the achievements and outstanding contributions of the entire Channel Mechanics team towards developing exceptional technological solutions.
The Digital Project and Innovation Award:
The Digital Project and Innovation Award category aims to highlight various remarkable projects and technological innovations from both SMEs and large enterprises specifically located in the West of Ireland. This award recognises organisations that exhibit excellence in the planning, execution, and successful delivery of innovative projects or technological advancements. Such innovations that are transforming future business operations and generating a lasting impact in the marketplace.
Channel Mechanics has successfully shortlisted our collaboration with Cisco as a finalist for the Digital Project and Innovation Award category, where the team built the “Talent Bridge Matching Engine”. The driving goal being to connect individuals with opportunities, by streamlining Cisco’s partner programs and bridging the gap between the Cisco Networking Academy job candidates and the global job market. The team thus developed the Talent Bridge Matching Engine, powered by Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Power BI Reporting.

The New Talent Award:
This ITAG Excellence Award recognises individual excellence in early career development, and ones dedication to technology and innovation. Our very own James Barrett, Sofware Engineer at Channel Mechanics, has been selected as a finalist among some strong competition. James’ innovative approach and customer-centric mindset, coupled with his insatiable thirst for knowledge have propelled him to a principal position within the Micro Services and Front-End development squad. We are all immensely proud of his nomination.

The Digital Women Award:
The aim of this ITAG Excellence Award is to highlight the extraordinary achievements and contributions of women in the IT/Software sector. In light of her exceptional leadership within our Software team to adopt and implement technological trends as a Squad Lead, Dorothy Lee has been shortlisted for this award. She has not only been an inspiration to her direct team, but indeed the wider company. Channel Mechanics are extremely proud of her accomplishments in the digital world.

The ITAG Excellence Awards 2023 Ceremony:
ITAG is a non-profit, industry-led community of technology companies and organisations along the AtlanTec Way. Their vision is to lead and support a thriving community of innovators and influencers. Thus, the ITAG Excellence Awards aim to celebrate the exceptional innovative advancements being achieved within the West of Ireland. The awards ceremony will take place on November 10th at The Hardiman Hotel, with the winners announced on the night.
