Brian O’Higgins, Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer

February 2020 brings with it the added benefit of a new member to the Channel Mechanics Team. We are delighted to be announcing the appointment of Brian O’Higgins to our EMEA headquarters. Brian takes up the role of Senior Quality Assurance Engineer. In his new position, Brian will focus on leading our Customer Support Operations team and enhancing our automated testing suite, along with assisting with customer success on-boarding and development.

Brian brings with him almost 24 years’ experience in a variety of both production and customer technical support roles. In addition, Brian has previously held a number of software testing roles. His primary focus being in the areas of eCommerce and Financial Technology. Having worked for global companies such as Dell, Nortel, Avaya and Planet, Brian brings with him a wealth of knowledge in his field.

A graduate in 1994 from the National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG) with a B.E. degree in Industrial Engineering & Information Systems, Brian went on to attain an MSc in Manufacturing Systems Automation from Queen’s University Belfast in 1995.

Outside of work, Brian enjoys playing 5-a-side soccer, listening to music and enjoys following all types of sports. But particularly hurling and football, where his kids are active participants in their local clubs.


Speaking about his appointment to Channel Mechanics, Brian commented:

I know my experience will help with the growth plans of the company and I’m excited to get started.
