Channel Mechanics delights today in announcing our latest appointment, with Fatima Chawdhury taking up the position of Senior Legal Counsel.
Based in London, Fatima studied at the University of Kent, where she gained an Honors in a Bachelors of Politics, and a Masters in International Law. She then completed a post graduate diploma in Law at the College of Law in London, achieving a CPE and LPC, before being called to the Roll of the Solicitors of England and Wales.
Fatima’s vast legal career began in London focusing on local bye-laws in a number of industries. Her career kick-started with Transport for London before transitioning to the telecommunications industry with Vodafone UK. She has since gained a wealth of experience as an in-house legal counsel for US tech companies within the UK.
Following her time at Vodafone, Fatima worked with Intrado Solutions, a global leader in audio, video and web conferencing cloud technology services. Here, Fatima was responsible for all UK contractual matters. Her duties included providing legal support in areas such as data protection, employment matters and company filing issues.
More recently, Fatima worked at RingCentral, a global leader in cloud based telecommunications services. Her responsibilities included providing all legal support as a trusted advisor to the UK Sales, Marketing, HR, Invoicing and RFP teams.
Fatima has undoubtedly gained invaluable experience throughout her career. She is a qualified commercial lawyer with over 10 years of experience in negotiating and drafting complex commercial contracts within multiple jurisdictions. These include SaaS, cloud communications, telecommunications and finally technology contracts with multi-national conglomerates. She has been widely acknowledged for displaying solid business acumen in her work.
At Channel Mechanics, Fatima will be responsible for ensuring compliance of all applicable laws within its business operations. In addition, Fatima will be responsible for all contractual matters with Channel Mechanic’s vendors and customers.
Outside of work, Fatima enjoys Bootcamp and Tabata classes, psychological thrillers and cupcakes.
