Channel Mechanics delights today in announcing our latest appointment, with Kerrie Clancy taking up the position of Senior QA Engineer.
Originally from Sligo, Kerrie studied Computer Science & Information Systems at the University of Limerick. She brings 22 years of both technical and project experience to her new role, having previously worked for a variety of multinationals. These included both Avaya and Nortel.
After graduating, Kerrie kick-started her career as a Software Engineer for Dell Computers in Limerick. After four years, she made the move to Galway, which she now considers home. Upon moving to Galway, she worked in the telecommunications industry for 15 years. After which she moved into the Fintech industry, focusing on Acquiring, Currency Conversion & Payment Processing. Kerrie has gained a great level of experience having held Senior QA Assurance positions with Intec Billing, Nortel and Planet Payments. She is also a SAFe Certified Scrum Master and worked as Scrum Master for over two years before moving into a Product Owner role for one year with Planet Payment.
Outside of work, Kerrie’s focus is very much on her family. She is a busy mum to three kids and outside the busy activity runs, she likes to keep active by walking, running and going to the gym. She also has a keen interest in art and music, and enjoys going to concerts and festivals with the family.
Speaking about the appointment to her new role:
