Murray McSharry, Sr. Project Manager

Channel Mechanics delights today in announcing the appointment of Murray McSharry. Murray joins the team in the position of Sr. Project Manager within the Product team. 

Murray is a Senior Project Manager with over 25 years of experience in the Telecommunications software development industry, working for large multinational corporations including Ericsson, Lucent Technologies, Sogeti, and Avaya. His career began in 1995, upon graduating with a BEng in Electronic Engineering from the University of Limerick.

With a distinct focus on quality, Murray has extensive experience in Quality Assurance roles from QA tester to QA manager, where he has worked on a variety of products. These include PSTN switches, 2G/3G Network nodes, and Unified Communications products. More recently, he spent the past eight years working as a Project Manager with Avaya. Here, he managed the delivery and launch of product releases for their flagship enterprise Contact Center and Self Service Platforms. During this time, Murray proved to be a strong advocate for process improvement and played a significant role in assisting product teams on their Agile journey.

Originally from Co. Sligo, Murray now lives with his wife Ann Marie, and their family in Galway. In his spare time, he can be found pitch side where he has managed local underage football teams for the past seven years. Additionally, he also enjoys supporting his children’s soccer and camogie teams. Murray also enjoys cycling and running to keep fit, having signed-up for both 5km and 10km runs. Furthermore, he is a keen DIY enthusiast.
