Channel Mechanics

Neill Howarth, Senior Technical Analyst

Channel Mechanics delights today in announcing the appointment of Neill Howarth. Neill joins the team in the position of Senior Technical Analyst.

Originating from the sunny seaside resort of Southport in the UK, Neill moved to Ireland in 1997 for a nine-month contract. However, following this role, he opted to remain living in Galway due to the warmth and friendliness of the Irish people, as well as the beautiful and scenic countryside and coastline.

A graduate of Liverpool John Moores University, Neil achieved a distinction in his Master’s Degree in Computing. Prior to moving to Galway, he worked as a Database Administrator and Quality Engineer in a local manufacturing company. Following this, he began his vast career in the ICT industry, initially securing the role of Software Developer for Nortel Networks.

Throughout his vast career, Neill has worked for both Nortel and Avaya in several key roles within their IT organizations. Early in his career he assumed a number of roles including Software Developer, Technical Lead, and Solutions Architect. More recently, he has held senior positions in Development, Business Analysis, and Architecture which have ultimately garnered his extensive knowledge and expertise. Neill’s key responsibilities included designing and delivering end-to-end eCommerce solutions for Enterprise products and services, mainly on business-critical projects and initiatives that delivered real value for their customers.

Outside of work, Neill is a passionate Liverpool FC supporter. He also enjoys keeping fit by going hiking or spending time in the gym. Another passion of his includes music, particularly classic rock and heavy metal. Each year, Neill attends the Winterstorm Festival in Troon, Scotland to link up with a small but dedicated group of fellow rockers.

“Firstly, I’m very pleased and excited to be joining the Channel Mechanics team, which includes many dedicated and highly skilled professionals that I’ve had the pleasure of working with in the past. This is an incredible company that has exploded from its initial inception 12 years ago, into a major global presence and innovator in the channel program automation space. Furthermore, I’m looking forward to helping them continue to build on that reputation. Along with providing real value and benefits to their ever-increasing customer base.”
