Channel Mechanics delights today in announcing our latest appointment, with Dyna Iciy taking up the position of Software Engineer.
A native of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Dyna moved to Brussels, Belgium at a young age. In 2009, he relocated to the UK to study at the University of Huddersfield where he completed a Bachelor of Arts in International Business.
Upon completing his degree, Dyna gained a vast level of experience working in an array of industries such as Finance, Consulting, Facility Management, and Retail. During this time, he held a variety of roles such as Business Account Manager, Customer Experience Analyst, and Business Analyst.
Dyna worked on several projects within the data environment. It was these projects that fueled his passion for data analytics and ultimately lead him to make the decision to pursue this career path. He successfully completed courses in Project Management (Agile and Prince 2), Data Analysis and Business Analysis. Since acquiring these qualifications, he has worked on multiple projects as a Business Analyst.
Dyna began his career as a Master Data Analyst at Yorkshire Water. Here, he was responsible for creating, maintaining and enhancing master data projects across the P2P (Procure to Pay) Systems team. Additionally, he provided key analytical information, and developed proposals and recommendations based on data driven insight. Following this, Dyna worked for Ethias as a Data Analyst Specialist. Here, he developed his ability to deliver data-driven decision making for the business using Power BI.
Over the past five years, Dyna has specialized in data visualization and business value delivery, working for both new ventures and well-established firms across various fields. He strongly believes that data analytics together with visualization can empower individuals. Dyna enjoys upskilling and staying up to date in his field. He regularly participates in training sessions, workshops, and webinars to further his knowledge and expertise.
Outside of work, Dyna enjoys spending time with his family and he has a keen interest in technology, music, and sports. In particular, he is a big supporter of Manchester City F.C. and mixed martial arts.
