Channel Mechanics

Emma Corcoran, Marketing Associate

A native of Clare, Emma Corcoran relocated to Galway in 2018 to study for a bachelor’s degree in Business at ATU (Atlantic Technological University), formally GMIT: Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology. During the second year of her degree, she discovered her passion for marketing, and decided to major in Marketing and Sales. Subsequently, Emma’s passion ignited around modules including Consumer Behaviour, Strategic Management, and Global Marketing throughout her degree.

During her time studying in ATU, Emma worked as an intern at a cybersecurity start-up. Unquestionably, this allowed her to gain experience in the progression of a start-up, broaden her knowledge of the industry and strengthen her marketing skills. She received valuable experience involving Keyword Research and Search Engine Optimization which allowed her to excel and expand her understanding of the marketplace.

Following the completion of her bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Sales in May of 2022, Emma decided to further her studies and marketing knowledge, which led her to apply for a Master’s program.

Emma started her MSc in Marketing Practice at the University of Galway in September 2022. She has a keen interest in areas including Market Research, Digital Marketing, and Marketing Alignment, which are modules she will be completing as part of her Master’s. She is presently completing her work placement here at Channel Mechanics and gaining valuable hands-on experience.

Speaking about the appointment to her new role:

“I am excited to have joined the amazing team here at Channel Mechanics. I can’t wait to see what exciting opportunities face me as I embark on this chapter in my career. Working in a fast-paced and progressive company like Channel Mechanics is exactly the kind of experience I wanted to kick start my marketing career. The team here at Channel Mechanics have been so supportive and accommodating, especially coming from working in the hospitality industry to working in my first B2B company. I’m honoured to be able to delve deeper into this industry and get better insight into the SaaS marketplace.”
