Channel Mechanics, a leader in Channel Program Automation, today announces the appointment of Kartik Lal. Kartik takes up the position of Senior Software Engineer, at our EMEA headquarters.
A native of India, Kartik studied Computer Systems Engineering at the University of Kent. Upon graduating, he went on to obtain a Masters in Data Analytics from Dublin Business School. in 2019, Kartik began his career in Business Intelligence with Lennox Laboratory Supplies in Dublin. During his time here, he managed the entire Business Intelligence process – from the creation to updating of Power BI reports for business users across the organization. In addition, he managed the transition of excel based reports into automated Power BI reports.
Just short of two years here, Kartik went in search of a new challenge. This journey brought him to take up the position of Business Intelligence Developer with Irish Ferries. Here he worked extensively with SSAS Tabular Models. Subsequently, he was involved in improving existing Power BI reports, along with creating new reports. Upon completing his contract, Kartik joined a Dublin based real estate company as a Business Intelligence Analyst. Throughout his time here, he worked on creating new Excel and Power BI reports as well as implementing new features and functionality into existing reports. In fact, Kartik’s technical experience centers around the Microsoft BI Stack – Power BI, SQL, SSAS, SSRS and Excel.
Outside of work, Kartik is an enthusiastic Basketball (NBA) fan. In addition, he follows Formula 1 and Soccer. Passionate about staying active and fit, Kartik enjoys going to the gym, and going for runs in the Phoenix Park. Meanwhile, to unwind he enjoys playing video games and watching movies. And over the coming years he hopes to tick a few more places off his travel bucket list!
